Beach!

Last Saturday, my family and I went to the beach with a family that we know who are staying here for a few months. It was fun. For some reason, when I first went in the water, it was warm, but when I came out of it for a few minutes, and then went back in, it was cold! Going to the beach was fun. I hope we can go again soon!

The Last Light, Chapter Five

Chapter Five The next day, Landan was woken at the break of dawn by a bucket of water being tipped over his head. “ Wake up, sleepyhead!” said Killian laughing. Landan sniffed. “I wasn’t sleeping, I was waiting for you to wake up,” he said, which was received by a snort. He looked around, and saw that Areena was the only other one awake. “ Why am I up?” asked Landan, moaning. “ Why are you?! Self-defense? Yesterday? Marcillious?” said Killian shaking his head. Landan groaned. “I thought that was a bad dream,” he wailed. He threw it on the ground, yelling, “Marcillious, put it out!” Marcillious reached into his bag and came up with a small box of fairy dust, and a bottle of itching powder. On his next grab he came up with a pink, ruffle covered shirt, which Melody snatched and held behind her back. In the chaos, Landan began sneaking backwards, but stood on a twig, at which everyone whirled around. Melody reached for her two daggers, saying, “Any opposes for murdering this guy?” Areena grabbed her, and held her back, saying, “Unfortunately, we still need him, but do as you want, as long as his legs still work. I'm not carrying him the next fifty miles.” “Stop!” yelled Marcillious, “I have a better idea. Instead of half killing him, let us make him a useful member ...

Going to the Beach!

On Saturday, a new family that just arrived the Sunday before came to our house for dinner. Today we're going to the beach with them! I'm looking forward to it. The water is normally cold at this time of year, but it's warmer than in December or January! I hope it'll be fun!
