Australian Adventure, Chapter Four

Chapter Four Thomas went hunting with Bolt (actually, he was riding Bolt) and Herder. He didn't find anything except a group of kookaburras, which were to small, and a group of fur seals, which were to big for him to his house. In the end, he just had to go home empty handed, although he had lots of meat at his house. The End

Australian Adventure, Chapter Three

Chapter Three   At about nine o-clock Thomas herded his bantengs out into a forest near where he lived. They started to eat the leaves of the eucalyptus and scribble-gum trees (all trees that live only in Australia are called gum tree s , and scribble-gum trees are called that because the inside of the bark (part that touches the wood) looks like somebody scribbled on it). At about eleven o-clock a dingo suddenly sprang out from behind a tree. Thomas shot his gun into the air and scared it away. A few hours later he herded his bantengs back home.

Australian Adventure, Chapter Two

Chapter Two    Thomas went to a nearby village trade. He traded two wombat skins for a rife, as before he had been using a bow and arrow before, and then he gave a blacksmith a tiger quoll (type of 17 inch wild cat that doesn't look and act like a cat at all. They live in dens and are far better climbers than most cats) skin to make him some horseshoes for bolt, as the old ones had worn out. After that, he went home.

Australian Adventure, Chapter One

Chapter One Thomas went to a river to fish. He caught two eel-tailed catfish and a golden perch using a fishing rod that he had bought at his last trip to town. Then he went foraging for edible plants and found a midyim berry (kind of berry, similar to blueberry but white) plant and a brown pine (tree - it grows Illawarra plums). Then he went home and cooked the fish and then he and Herder ate it. After that, Thomas cut down a small wollemi pine tree and dragged it into the cow pen. eel-tailed catfish golden perch Illawarra plum midyim berries
