Yep Desert Diary

Yesterday my family and I went to the river. On the way their, we saw mallard ducks, turkeys, and chickens with tons of feathers in a pen. This may not surprise you, but we live in Africa, which mallard ducks and turkeys don't live in, and chickens don't have lots of feathers hear. I wonder how they brought them here?

Today, were going to talk about our birds.(the ones in the photo were ours three years ago) We have five chickens this year, one with a hurt leg. We have four ducks, too. The male one has a niasen deficiency. He may never be the same again, but he's  improving every day. We will slaughter this years chickens in about five months.

Did you know tigers can jump twenty feet? By themselves they can bring down an animal twice there size, and pull their claws into their paws so they don't get blunt ? Did you know Lions are the only big cats that lives in groups, can pull there claws into there paws , a group of five can bring down a small elephant that is still twice there size, and can jump eight feet long?

This photo is of the play area in our yard. It has a climbing frame, a swing, a hammock, and a trapeze bar. My favorite thing to play on is the trapeze bar.  My three sisters and I often put a folding slide under the trapeze bar and play that it and the hammock are boats.

Today I want to talk about my LEGO. I have a lot of LEGO. I am going to talk about my favorite sets, such as my black panther and Darth Maul sets (you can see them above).  They are pretty cool, and I have made Darth Maul the most powerful of all my LEGO people. Before I got him, I had a Ninga for my most powerful LEGO person.

Almost two years ago my family and I went to a car show. We went in a pink limousine that was eight rows long! My sister was only three back then, so when we went in the limousine she thought we were going for a ride!

Today my older sister and I spotted a Weaver bird nest in our tree. This makes us think were going to have Weaver bird chicks. My younger sister is also starting a blog today. Bye!

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Derek. He had spent the morning riding his bike, and he was very hungry. He had two dollars with him, so he decided to go to a fish and chips shop and buy some fish and chips. But by the time he got there, the shop was closed! By then Derek was so hungry, he felt that he couldn't  walk to the next shop. Just then, he saw a small shop and thought, "oh well, its better than nothing." So he went into the shop and asked the lady who owned the shop if she had any sausage rolls. She said, Its Friday, so most of the things are gone. I have two rolls, but they are moldy and old. But I could scrape the mold of and pop them in the microwave and they wont taste so bad. And Derek thought, "I am so hungry I'll just get the old rolls". So he ate them and said, that was delishes! Do you have any cookies? The lady said, I have one cookie. so she gave it to Derek. and he was about to eat it when he saw some black tubes coming out of t...

Today my sisters and I are dressing up as characters from "Star Wars". I'm dressing up as "Darth Maul", a evil Jedi with a two sided light saber. My sisters are dressing up as Leah, and a girl Jedi which we don't know her name .

Yesterday we went bike riding in the rice fields, a cluster of fields which farmers grow their crops in. It was VERY fun! Though it wasn't green yet, it will be in a couple of months. Their was a small hill about 4 feet tall that we often rode up and coasted down. Last year when we went there, I rode about 4 miles with my Chinese friend, the same one we went to visit in my earlier posts, "Going Away" and "Glad to be Back".

Last holiday my family & I went sailing. First we got on a small boat, and then sailed to a bigger one, which we sailed on for about an hour. I got a weird feeling that I sometimes get on airplanes when the boat went over the waves. I hope we go again sometime!

You may be wondering why I am talking about this bird. It's called the Orange Weaver. We used to see it all the time, but nowadays we only see it once a month or so. Bye!
