Our house

Dear Readers,

We have a pretty big house. It has six rooms, a kitchen, and a flat roof with stairs leading up to it. My favorite room is my room. We keep our bikes on the roof, so when we want to go bike-riding, we just go and ride our bikes up there. Do you like riding a bike?

  1. Dear Yan, Guess what? I don't know how to ride a bike. I never learned how! Maybe someday I will. I am glad you enjoy it and can bike up on the roof. Love, Abigail

  2. Dear Yan, I like to bike ride, though the last time I did it I was wearing sandals and I fell pretty badly. I can show you my scar on my left elbow sometime. We were at the beach and I was riding with Aunt Marianna. I told her to go and put her sneakers on and then I forgot to do the same. You probably ride bikes wearing flip flops and I hope you are safe!
Thanks for writing! I like hearing your stories! Love, Grandma

  3. Your house is pretty big and so is your family. How do you find time to be alone?

Galapagos Adventure, Introduction

Peter was going on a trip to the Galapagos islands (a group of islands about 2,600 miles away from America, famous for having many animals on it that only live there, such as the Galapagos tortoise and the Marine iguana). One night, he woke up in the midde of a storm, with his boat sinking! The boat didn't have any lifeboats, so Peter grabbed a gun, bullets, gunpowder and a bag of corn, threw a barrel overboard, dived in after it, and swam to one of the Galapagos islands that was nearby, resting on the barrel when he was tired. Unluckily, it was uninhabited (nobody lived on it), but he at least survived the storm. Two and a half years later, he lived in a large cave, had a pet Galapagos hawk (a large, brown hawk breed. The main predator of the Galapagos islands) called Flyer and owned a large cornfield. Galapagos Hawk

Going Sailing

Last holiday my family & I went sailing. First we got on a small boat, and then sailed to a bigger one, which we sailed on for about an hour. I got a weird feeling that I sometimes get on airplanes when the boat went over the waves. I hope we go again sometime!
