Chapter Three

John was hunting, and had killed a maned wolf. Than he saw it's den, and when a baby maned wolf came out, he realized that it was a female. He took the cub home, and started to train it. In a few days, the maned wolf, which he'd named Antelope because of his long legs and his reddish-brown fur, trusted him enough to eat meat from his hand. In a few more weeks, Antelope was trained enough for John to let him of his vine lead and to come back when John called him. About two months later, Antelope was fully grown, and could help John while he was hunting.

    1. Well, maned wolves are grow up when they are one year old, and when John found Antelope he was about eleven months old, so by the time Antelope started helping John hunt Antelope was grown up.

Galapagos Adventure, Introduction

Peter was going on a trip to the Galapagos islands (a group of islands about 2,600 miles away from America, famous for having many animals on it that only live there, such as the Galapagos tortoise and the Marine iguana). One night, he woke up in the midde of a storm, with his boat sinking! The boat didn't have any lifeboats, so Peter grabbed a gun, bullets, gunpowder and a bag of corn, threw a barrel overboard, dived in after it, and swam to one of the Galapagos islands that was nearby, resting on the barrel when he was tired. Unluckily, it was uninhabited (nobody lived on it), but he at least survived the storm. Two and a half years later, he lived in a large cave, had a pet Galapagos hawk (a large, brown hawk breed. The main predator of the Galapagos islands) called Flyer and owned a large cornfield. Galapagos Hawk

Going Sailing

Last holiday my family & I went sailing. First we got on a small boat, and then sailed to a bigger one, which we sailed on for about an hour. I got a weird feeling that I sometimes get on airplanes when the boat went over the waves. I hope we go again sometime!
