Chapter Three
James went hunting with Howler. He walked along looking for tracks, when Howler suddenly picked up a smell. James followed Howler until he found a large bull moose. He shot it with his Rifle, then, with the help of Howler, dragged it back to his house. Once they got there, he skinned it and cut it up into pieces with his knife and hung it up on the wall of his house next to the other meat he had stored there and his skins.
The End
James must be very, very strong to drag a bull moose back home! Also, he must have a very big knife. It would take all day to "slice and dice" with a small knife! Interesting!
ReplyDeleteWell, the blade was about half a foot long.
DeleteSounds like a smelly process...!
ReplyDeleteNot really. When we slaughter our sheep Dad sometimes skins them. In fact, we have a sheep skin from our ram in the yard.
