Incredible Indonesian Adventure, Chapter Five

Chapter Five

Atmo went fishing with Eagle-eye. Eagle-eye flew around until he spotted a school of lobocheilos falcifer (type of fish, 13.18 inches long), then he flew low and scared them towards Atmo, who had a stick sharpened with his knife. Atmo speared one of them with it, then when the fish turned away, Eagle-eye caught another. On the way home, Atmo shot a Sumatran striped rabbit. He was very lucky that day.

  1. I loved this story! Thank you for posting the pictures too! I can't imagine spearing a fish with a sharp stick, but it has been done for thousands of years! Did Atmo make rabbit stew? I wonder!

Galapagos Adventure, Introduction

Peter was going on a trip to the Galapagos islands (a group of islands about 2,600 miles away from America, famous for having many animals on it that only live there, such as the Galapagos tortoise and the Marine iguana). One night, he woke up in the midde of a storm, with his boat sinking! The boat didn't have any lifeboats, so Peter grabbed a gun, bullets, gunpowder and a bag of corn, threw a barrel overboard, dived in after it, and swam to one of the Galapagos islands that was nearby, resting on the barrel when he was tired. Unluckily, it was uninhabited (nobody lived on it), but he at least survived the storm. Two and a half years later, he lived in a large cave, had a pet Galapagos hawk (a large, brown hawk breed. The main predator of the Galapagos islands) called Flyer and owned a large cornfield. Galapagos Hawk

Going Sailing

Last holiday my family & I went sailing. First we got on a small boat, and then sailed to a bigger one, which we sailed on for about an hour. I got a weird feeling that I sometimes get on airplanes when the boat went over the waves. I hope we go again sometime!
