Animal Collecting, India, Chapter Three

Jack was going to a village to get supplies. It was getting dark, and he was on his way back when some kind of large cat pounced on him. It was to dark for Jack to see what kind of cat it was, but it was to small to be a tiger or lion, and to big to be a snow or clouded leopard, so it must have been an indian leopard. While they were fighting, a thunderstorm came up. There was a flash of lightning, and Jack saw that it was a strawberry leopard (extremely rare pinkish leopard color). He grabbed a tree branch and hit the leopard on its head. The leopard fell to the ground, unconscious. Jack quickly tied it up, walked to the camp, brought a truck and put the leopard in a cage.

  1. WOW! Perfect timing to have lightening strike so that Jack could see what it was! How scary! I have never heard of a strawberry leopard! Great story!

Galapagos Adventure, Introduction

Peter was going on a trip to the Galapagos islands (a group of islands about 2,600 miles away from America, famous for having many animals on it that only live there, such as the Galapagos tortoise and the Marine iguana). One night, he woke up in the midde of a storm, with his boat sinking! The boat didn't have any lifeboats, so Peter grabbed a gun, bullets, gunpowder and a bag of corn, threw a barrel overboard, dived in after it, and swam to one of the Galapagos islands that was nearby, resting on the barrel when he was tired. Unluckily, it was uninhabited (nobody lived on it), but he at least survived the storm. Two and a half years later, he lived in a large cave, had a pet Galapagos hawk (a large, brown hawk breed. The main predator of the Galapagos islands) called Flyer and owned a large cornfield. Galapagos Hawk

Going Sailing

Last holiday my family & I went sailing. First we got on a small boat, and then sailed to a bigger one, which we sailed on for about an hour. I got a weird feeling that I sometimes get on airplanes when the boat went over the waves. I hope we go again sometime!
