Arctic Adventure, Chapter Four

A few days after the puppies were born, Aput captured a muskox (wild arctic animal) that he needed for it's milk and fur. To capture it, he rode in his sled (only bringing the adult dogs) until he spotted a muskox herd. He stopped next to it, and unhitched his dogs from the sled and let his wolverine out of it. They ran at the muskox, barking, and they panicked and ran in different directions. Together the huskies and the wolverine singled out a large, female muskox with a calf (just in case you don't know what a calf is, although you probably do, it's a baby cow). The dogs and wolverine chased the muskox into a cage that he had been building for a few days and captured it for Aput.

  1. How did Aput and his trusty team sneak up on the muskox herd without scaring them away? This is Uncle Nay by the way.

    1. They were trying to scare the muskox so that they would scatter and they would only have to herd one into the cage.

Galapagos Adventure, Introduction

Peter was going on a trip to the Galapagos islands (a group of islands about 2,600 miles away from America, famous for having many animals on it that only live there, such as the Galapagos tortoise and the Marine iguana). One night, he woke up in the midde of a storm, with his boat sinking! The boat didn't have any lifeboats, so Peter grabbed a gun, bullets, gunpowder and a bag of corn, threw a barrel overboard, dived in after it, and swam to one of the Galapagos islands that was nearby, resting on the barrel when he was tired. Unluckily, it was uninhabited (nobody lived on it), but he at least survived the storm. Two and a half years later, he lived in a large cave, had a pet Galapagos hawk (a large, brown hawk breed. The main predator of the Galapagos islands) called Flyer and owned a large cornfield. Galapagos Hawk

Going Sailing

Last holiday my family & I went sailing. First we got on a small boat, and then sailed to a bigger one, which we sailed on for about an hour. I got a weird feeling that I sometimes get on airplanes when the boat went over the waves. I hope we go again sometime!
