Arctic Adventure, Chapter Two

Aput went fox hunting, as it was turning winter and arctic foxes have the warmest fur and can survive -58 F, aka -50 C. He put a seal-skin glove on, put a seal-skin hood on his gyrfalcon, hitched the dogs to his sled, and went to a village, where he borrowed a yakut/yakutian horse (horse breed that lives in the arctic and has long fur), because to spot a fox he had to go up a mountain, which a sled can't do. Then he rode up a mountain with his gyrfalcon. He soon spotted a fox and took the hood of the falcon. It immediately dived at the fox, and soon overtook it. Then Aput rode up and was about to kill and skin it when twelve pups (pups can be baby sharks, seals, dogs, wolves, mice, rats and lemurs). Aput knew that if he killed the mother fox that the young foxes would die, so he let the fox go free.

Galapagos Adventure, Introduction

Peter was going on a trip to the Galapagos islands (a group of islands about 2,600 miles away from America, famous for having many animals on it that only live there, such as the Galapagos tortoise and the Marine iguana). One night, he woke up in the midde of a storm, with his boat sinking! The boat didn't have any lifeboats, so Peter grabbed a gun, bullets, gunpowder and a bag of corn, threw a barrel overboard, dived in after it, and swam to one of the Galapagos islands that was nearby, resting on the barrel when he was tired. Unluckily, it was uninhabited (nobody lived on it), but he at least survived the storm. Two and a half years later, he lived in a large cave, had a pet Galapagos hawk (a large, brown hawk breed. The main predator of the Galapagos islands) called Flyer and owned a large cornfield. Galapagos Hawk

Going Sailing

Last holiday my family & I went sailing. First we got on a small boat, and then sailed to a bigger one, which we sailed on for about an hour. I got a weird feeling that I sometimes get on airplanes when the boat went over the waves. I hope we go again sometime!
